Water-Soluble Colored Pencils & Crayons

Water-soluble colored pencils have a split personality.

One one side, they work the same as a regular colored pencil. However, once they are introduced to a wet brush, they really come to life. Colors can be blended and dissolved into washes in the same fashion as watercolor.  Details can be softened or entire areas of drawing can be lifted into pools of water.

The pencil itself can also be dipped into water to make dramatic and vibrant marks right from the stick. Watercolor pencils can be used on their own or in conjunction with a watercolor paint.
