Golden Acrylic Mediums
Golden offers the full range of professional acrylic mediums and modifiers in many sizes. A studio can resemble a laboratory with all the choices that are available. Gels alter the viscosity of an acrylic and extend the paint (they are milky from the jar but dry clear and will not alter a paint's color) - and offer three finishes, gloss, matte, and satin. Soft gel is a rather soft viscosity, regular is normal viscosity, and heavy and extra heavy make a paint thoroughly more dense and capable of holding onto extreme relief and mountainous peaks. Because of the strong adhesive qualities of acrylic gels, they are suitable for collage.
Polymer and fluid mediums make an acrylic flow for glazing and can also alter the finished sheen. Retarders slow the drying time. Flow release is like a 'solvent' that loosens the binder of the paint itself. The pastes are particularly suitable for building up a structured surface in relief painting. And this is just to name a few.
