The canvas itself is made from cotton duck - medium-weight and unbleached. It?s stretched on kiln-dried stretcher bars, and held in place with a flexible spline, which allows the artist to paint on all four edges as well as the canvas surface. It is triple-acrylic primed, acid-free, and staple-free on the sides. Studio Stretched Canvas has a 7/8" edge and Gallery Stretched Canvas has a thick 1-1/2" edge. They are both suitable for oil and acrylic painting.
