Deckle-Edge PunJab Paper
My visit to PunJab- “The Pink City.” That’s how the small city was described to me. Was the pink, the color of stone, or the color of the sky? No, the city was painted pink and repainted pink for generations.
As one approaches PunJab you cannot help but notice the screens drying under the hot Indian sun. Every square meter has a silk screen in a wood frame facing the sun.
Many of the homes are cottages where white pulp is mixed by hand in small batches. The pulp is dried outside on screens. Truly a cottage industry.
These papers are available in 8.5"x11" and 19"x25" sizes.
