Testimonials From YELP & Google:

"I didn't know this store was here until Yelp pointed me toward it, and I'm glad it did. The store has everything you'll need, and if for some reason they don't, they can order it for you. On top of the selection, the prices are exceptionally low. You know how you can buy a book in store, or go on Amazon and get it a couple bucks cheaper? I consider their pricing Amazon pricing, because I'm sure it would cost a few bucks more at some chain art supply place. Staff has always been exceptionally helpful, outgoing, and have great suggestions for the products. If I need a gift, I always do a run-through of their inventory in my mind to see if I can get it there, and usually always can." ~ Ethan A

"Since I discovered Artist & Craftsman Supply, not only do I have a great new place to buy gifts, but I'm getting crafty again, and find inspiration to create art instead of buying. The shop has a couple of aisle of great gag gift and simple toy items - I was able to knock a few people off my Christmas Shopping list right then and there, WOOHOO! The other great find in A&CS was the framing section. I've been schlepping all over greater Boston for great deals on framing, when I could have just get getting it done across the street from my office! Artist & Craftsman Supply is the reason I need a crafts room at home! Love it!" ~ Molly S

"This place is AWESOME. It's underground and it's huge! (For central sq that is. Don't expect NYC's Macy's to be underground here =P). It's a little hard to navigate at first, but once you make a pass through to get your bearings straight, you'll notice that everything is very neatly categorized and organized. Staff is super friendly. You'll definitely satisfy most of your artsy crafty needs here than compared to other art stores in the area." ~ Michael P

"Whatever your artistic calling is, you will find the necessary ingredients you need and more at Artist and Craftsman Supply. (Maybe even the letters W and O so a craftswoman can join in.) This is a fantastic place to stock up on supplies, but you can also discover a massive amount of cute items for the kids, stationery, any kind of pen you'd ever desire, and frames for those pictures of the family. They have ready made frames and pre-cut mats but can do custom work easily. If you are painting, drawing, carving, upcycling or just in need of a blank book to doodle in you'll find everything here. There's a huge assortment, too. And their prices are fabulous. The staff members are beyond helpful and polite. No question is treated with scorn or dismay. Even if we went to art school, we may not know the best way to clean paint brushes or decoupage a cigar box. These guys have the answers and walk you over to the exact location of any item you are searching for. It's easy to breeze right past this place but once you know it is here, you will make it part of your Central Square routine. We have bought so many useful items here including supplies to create silk scarves, beautiful all white blank books to make picture books for close friends, party favors, blank puzzles, pens galore, gold paint, canvas, oil paints, frames for our masterpieces and chunky crayons. Next time you have nothing to do, go get some art supplies here and create something original. You don't need to go to art school to appreciate this place." ~ Dorothy W
